Les presets synthétiseurs de Christian Flake Lorenz

Recommended Posts

Mein teil solo is the same baby samples as Das Alte Leid song.

i guess its also the same baby in Mutter.

in my opinion its self recorded by Flake. The recording is not very clean, we can heard toys noises or something.

Maybe a kid of his family or rammstein members ?

Awesome sound snippets! So Wall of Sounds ripped it straight from an EMU Emax.

Another CD that we've had for years 😅 I don't even want to know what else has been overheard

Sounds very close, but I do not think it is that one because they surely used an E-MU Emax in studio, as we can see in the Cubase arrangement of Riecher in the documentary "ACHTUNG! WIR KOMMEN".

So it means there is a sample on the pré-chorus is made with emax?

and the loop is made with and orgel on eps16

It seems that the orgel was used in the DER WANSEN part, maybe discarted.

Damn! Good and clean screenshot!

Drums - Alesis D4
Bass - Ensoniq EPS16
Breaks 1 - 3 - Emax
Sequence Low - Ensoniq EPS16
Sequence High - Ensoniq EPS16
Orgel (Organ) - Ensoniq EPS16
Strings - Ensoniq EPS16
Sample? - Ensoniq EPS16
Track 8 - Emax

Okay, let's compare Der Riecher and check EPS16 and Emax libraries

Okay, let's compare Der Riecher and check EPS16 and Emax libraries

By analysing the arrange, this is my theory:

Bass - of course, the bass lead.

The breaks 1 and 3 are muted, only the 2 is triggered, and it seems that it is some kind of percussion, cause I am sure the track is called "breakbeat"

Seq Lo - it seems this is the sequence that kinda sounds like the dog breathing in the background.

Seq Hi - the standard DRSG lead we all know

Orgel - Organ supporting the DRSG lead?

Strings - the keyboard violins solo

Sample - I think that these might be "Der Wansen" or "Ich finde dich" samples, or maybe it's the choir, because it enters the same time as the track.

Track 8 - No idea, but it is muted anyways.

To me theses are the twi samples of the loop, or a mix of both sequenced in one for intro and the other for the chorus (higher octave)

The dog breath is just the delay on Olli's bass

Nope, it is not that. I should have recorded a video instead of a print, but during the pre-chorus, where the kinda dog breathing enters, the only tracks playing are the drum, bass, for the bass lead, and seq lo, which is played with a looot of notes. And in here they did not record the bass from Ollie yet, it was only midi stuff.

Here's a video of that part for you guys to watch for yourselves:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xtUd65lcZJi3wN0cuRMzKW5-Q4steJXw/view?usp=sharing

Very useful:

At the marker: 6 tracks / 2 breaks on mute.

What I can hear:

Alesis drums (1), bassline (2), dog-bass (3 - seq lo), strange voice samples that goes: baaaah (should be break 2)

If the scene is not cut and the marker continues to run in real time, they probably demute the other two breaks (mellotron choir, the main sequence loop). Therefore we should find these patches in the Emu Emax

By the way: This version has nothing to do with Der Riecher from 1994. The baaah sample has completely disappeared, the drum and bassline is much crisper in this recording session. Probably because Olli's real bass recording sounds a bit warmer and more natural and these hard industrial samples were later softened, deleted or mixed more quietly.

Just saw that it is in the 'Best of CMI' path. So it was originally a Fairlight CMI sample and Emax copied/emulated it?

I just noticed that the sweep pad in the Heeeeerzeleid scream part has a very similar characteristic to Chroman Inst with the necessary Ensoniq effects. Is it by any chance the same patch?

The LaB version sounds like the Rammstein Intro bell pad / Emeperor?!
