I have actually been wondering about this. For a while i thought this was Vocal Pad because the two, when put through effects sounds veeery similar.

Yes! I also tried with Vocal Pad 1 and Metal Voices, they sound almost the same, but to me, it's Classic Pad.

I guess the nord lead has been used for all these synth basses

Not possible, it was released in 1995, and AZA has some demos with the same synth basses, plus you notice in the songs that it is a sample. I would say that it is from a floppy disc.

hi there!
we still have not solved the sequencer (settings) used live for ARMEE DER TRISTEN intro.

its much more stabby in sound, also it has distortion and it is at least two patches combined, to my ears.
while it is the same pattern as with the ANA 2 sequencer, how to get this particular stabby synth sound?  i tried and tried.

turns out, while working on some other stuff, good old omnisphere 2s MAINFRAME BASS comes very close in sound, almost identical if you leave the modwheel about halfway.

also, the BEAUTIFUL DREAD LEAD is clearly layered with something else, live, because it has a much higher flutelike sound to it. any idea? just layered 2 octaves higher?
