Specific aspects

Before the concert, Rammstein invited Bernd Rathjen, an MTV executive, backstage. The aim was to understand why the channel was boycotting the band and refusing to play the Engel video. The meeting got out of hand and Rammstein ended up tying Rathjen to a chair with duct tape and lighting a smoke bomb attached to his leg. The incident made headlines the next day : Rammstein sets fire to an MTV official. Bernd Rathjen then sued Rammstein.
